On Tuesday, September 29th, Wizards of the Coast teased a new Secret Lair Superdrop for October 12th, 2026. Titled "The Ears See All", this drop series is largely obscured for the moment. As it stands, save for a chance licensing disclaimer, we know next to nothing about it.
However, this article seeks to look at the licensing disclaimer because it reveals a lot about the Superdrop.
<a href="https://cloudflare.edhrec.com/articles/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/evidence-in-licensing.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-193947" src="https://cloudflare.edhrec.com/articles/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/evidence-in-licensing.jpg" alt="Image credit: Wizards of the Coast" width="1500" height="500" srcset="https://cloudflare.edhrec.com/articles/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/evidence-in-licensing.jpg 1500w, https://cloudflare.edhrec.com/articles/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/evidence-in-licensing-300x100.jpg 300w, https://cloudflare.edhrec.com/articles/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/evidence-in-licensing-1024x341.jpg 1024w, https://cloudflare.edhrec.com/articles/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/evidence-in-licensing-768x256.jpg 768w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1500px) 100vw, 1500px" /></a>
Looking at the permissions given to Wizards of the Coast, we see three licensed properties, of which it's clear that we will get separate Universes Beyond drops. The first, unsurprisingly, is Marvel. The other two, KPop Demon Hunters and Jim Henson's Labyrinth, are the impactful drops for this author. We have known for a while that KPop Demon Hunters was forthcoming, according to Wizards of the Coast ex-CEO Chris Cocks, emphatically stating such in last year's <a href="https://investor.hasbro.com/news-releases/news-release-details/hasbro-reports-third-quarter-2025-financial-results">Q3 earning report</a>. However, Labyrinth is completely new information, albeit likely stemming from Wizards' repeated dealings with The Jim Henson Company.
But for the time being, as there's not a lot to go by just yet, all we can do is speculate on what we're going to see.
<h2>Secret Lair Speculation</h2>
There's truly no definitive answer as to whether or not KPop Demon Hunters or Labyrinth's drops will feature mechanically unique cards. We don't even know how many drops will feature each of these individual properties. This isn't bad news, per se, but there's a double-edged sword in the announcement. The Superdrop launches on Monday, October 12th, which happens to also be Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples' Day, a national holiday in the United States. Many people will be off of work that day, as a result, lowering overall chances to claim these drops, with a necessary asterisk to this.
That asterisk is that Wizards of the Coast continues to play around with the release models for Secret Lair. Therefore, there's a possibility, however slim, that this Superdrop will not be limited-print. Now, I don't want to get anyone's hopes too high as Wizards of the Coast hasn't yet confirmed this, but it's certainly possible, is my point.
<h2>Conclusion</h2>
And with that, let's open up the rumor mill to you here, dear readers! Are you excited for any of the drops in this Secret Lair Superdrop? What do you think we will see therein? Sound off in the comments below!

With this in mind, Wizards of the Coast will release the first Universes Beyond Secret Lair Commander Deck on Monday, August 10th! If the thumbnail and context clues weren't enough to give it away, this deck is the much-anticipated Hatsune Miku deck! Read on for Wizards of the Coast's press release, plus what they're doing to ensure everyone who wants a copy gets one.
<h2>Hatsune Miku Deck Press Release</h2>
According to Wizards of the Coast in a press release today:
<blockquote>
<div>
Wizards of the Coast has announced Secret Lair Commander Deck: Hatsune Miku, a new ready-to-play 100-card Commander deck celebrating the global virtual singer through dazzling artwork, joyful gameplay, and the unmistakable energy of a stadium-sized pop performance.
</div>
<div>
Designed by Magic: The Gathering’s Carmen Klomparens, this deck is the first Universes Beyond Secret Lair Commander Deck, combining the creativity of Secret Lair with one of the world’s most recognizable virtual performers. Headlined by Trostani, Selesnya’s Voice as “Miku, Song of the People,” the deck invites players to flood the board with creatures, gain massive amounts of life, and turn that momentum into a performance worthy of an encore.
</div>
<div>
Secret Lair Commander Deck: Hatsune Miku captures the bright, expressive, and collaborative spirit that has made Hatsune Miku a global phenomenon. The deck features 13 cards with new art by Japanese artists, including a special illustration by KEI, Hatsune Miku’s first software packaging illustrator, for Miku, Song of the People. Additional artists, including fan-favorite creators such as HASSAN and NAOKI SAITO, help bring Miku to life. That visual celebration carries through to the mana base with foil borderless basic lands featuring new artwork, making the deck feel like a full Miku production from the first land drop to the final encore.
</div>
<div>
Built around a classic green-white lifegain strategy, Secret Lair Commander Deck: Hatsune Miku plays exactly like a great Miku performance feels: joyful, communal, and bigger with every verse. Cards like <a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Archangel of Thune" href="#" target="_blank">Archangel of Thune</a>, <a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Aetherflux Reservoir" href="#" target="_blank">Aetherflux Reservoir</a>, <a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Crested Sunmare" href="#" target="_blank">Crested Sunmare</a>, <a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Rhys the Redeemed" href="#" target="_blank">Rhys the Redeemed</a>, <a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Voice of the Blessed" href="#" target="_blank">Voice of the Blessed</a>, and <a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Mirari&#039;s Wake" href="#" target="_blank">Mirari&#039;s Wake</a> help players build an ever-growing board state, gain life in huge bursts, and transform that life total into a win condition.

<h2>About Open Accessibility</h2>
One of the things we have learned about the Hatsune Miku Commander Deck launch is that it has a 24-hour release window. However, during the drop's 24-hour release window, all orders placed for the deck will be fulfilled. Wizards of the Coast has some of them handy and ready to send out already, but for any orders that miss out on that initial quantity of stock, they will get theirs in May 2027 (if they're in the United States) or June 2027 (if in the United Kingdom or Europe). Nevertheless, the Hatsune Miku Commander Deck is going to cost you $149.99.
