    How does this combo work?

    • 1
      Activate Combine Guildmage's first ability by paying {1}{g} and tapping it, causing creatures that enter the battlefield under your control this turn to enter with a +1/+1 counter on them.

      Cast Cryptic Trilobite by paying {0}, causing it to enter the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it due to Combine Guildmage.

      Activate Together Forever by paying {1}, targeting Cryptic Trilobite.
    • 4
      Activate Cryptic Trilobite by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, adding {c}{c} that can only be spent to activate abilities.
    • 5
      Cryptic Trilobite dies as a state-based action due to having 0 toughness, triggering Together Forever, returning Cryptic Trilobite from your graveyard to your hand.
