How does this combo work?

3 | Murderous Redcap dies as a state-based action due to having 0 toughness. |
4 | Murderous Redcap's persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it. |
5 | When Murderous Redcap enters, it and Celes trigger. |
6 | Resolve the Celes trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control. |
7 | Resolve the Murderous Redcap trigger, dealing damage to itself equal to its power. |
8 | Repeat from step 3. |
