Steps
How does this combo work?
- 1At the beginning of your upkeep, Delaying Shield triggers.
- 2Holding priority, if Delaying Shield has any delay counters on it, activate Resourceful Defense by paying, moving the delay counters from Delaying Shield onto Resourceful Defense.
- 3Resolve the Delaying Shield trigger, doing nothing.
- 4While Delaying Shield is on the battlefield, all damage that would be dealt to you is replaced by putting that many counters on Delaying Shield instead.
- 5Repeat each turn as necessary.
